Music Technology is currently available at A Level. The course content includes studying the history of recording from the dawn of recording technology to the present day, modern day digital recording theory and practical techniques, sequencing, composing and music production. We are fortunate at the Vale Of Ancholme to benefit from a huge range of music technology including 45 Apple Mac computers all running Logic Studio 8 as well as Pro Tools 8 running on 12 machines. We have a large selection of sample libraries to aid students in their compositions and also a large selection of microphones that cover all possible recording applications. The facilities certainly give our students the best possible chance of 'making it' in what has become a very competitive industry, by thoroughly preparing them for the demands of higher education.
